Windows 11 coming to Dell machines

Windows 11

Starting on October 5th, most PCs will include Windows 11 pre-installed. Users of business PCs can get Windows 10 Pro preinstalled with a Windows 11 Pro licence, allowing them to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro when they’re ready. You may buy today if you can’t wait until October. Customers who purchase a qualifying Windows-based PC today on Dell’s website will receive a free upgrade to the new operating system when it becomes available. This includes gaming laptops such as the Dell XPS 13, Alienware x15, and Alienware x17, as well as others.

Dell has prepared a few tools to take consumers and commercial clients through the free upgrading procedure if they already own a Windows-based Dell PC. You can check out the tools and steps to upgrade your machine below:

  • The Dell upgrade eligibility list can be used by both consumers and IT professionals to see if their device is eligible for the Windows 11 operating system update.
  • If the upgrade rollout has begun, go to Settings/Windows Updates to see if it is ready for your device.
  • Consumers have the option of accepting the upgrade or deferring it until a later date.
  • The migration is simple, and Dell Migrate will assist consumers and IT professionals in safely transferring data from Windows 10 to Windows Server 2016.

Microsoft will offer an update to Windows 11 to all eligible Dell PCs running the corresponding Windows 10 version on a rolling basis. The exact timing will differ depending on the device.
