It seems that Google is introducing a new feature that lets you instantly delete your last 15 minutes of search history on mobile.
Google introduces feature that deletes your last 15 minutes search history
The feature was revealed at the recent I/O 2021 and it will be available for both Android and iOS devices. Despite that, it is already available on Google’s iOS app. A release on Android is set for a later date this year.
As for desktop, you can only choose to auto-delete your history every 3, 18, or 36 months on top top of deleting searches manually.
Aside from that, Google is said to only track your search history to “personalize” your experience when the Web and App Activity setting is turned on.
If that’s not enough, they are also offering an option where you can add a password to protect your search history.

Pokdepinion: I just have one thing to say: incognito (please don’t judge me). I mean, it’s available on mobile too anyways. If you didn’t want anybody else to check your history in the first place, I think that’d be already sufficient enough. Then again, maybe that’s just me..
