In case you aren’t aware – Netflix’s hit series Squid Game 2 is now available for streaming with all episodes. For this occasion, Google has added a small easter egg which can be triggered by searching “Squid Game” or similar keywords.

When you landed on the page after entering the keyword, a small invitation card pops up at the bottom of your screen. Clicking that will start the “Red Light, Green Light” minigame with the familiar voice of Younghee – the large robotic doll that kills those who fail at this game in the original series. In this minigame, press the blue ‘O’ button and the characters will start walking, and press the red ‘X’ button to stop them before Younghee turns her head.
The minigame works both on PC and mobile, and it’s pretty basic: once the game ends either with characters crossing the line or getting caught in the process, the game will restart. Of course, if you do fail here it’s not going to do all that gory stuffs to your characters, for obvious reasons. There’s also a mute switch that turns off Younghee’s voice, which honestly makes the game a lot more challenging since you can’t rely on sound cues anymore – anyone willing to try?
Pokdepinion: I can attest playing it without sound is a lot more tense. Reflex is key!
