Resident Evil Infinite Darkness Coming To Netflix This year
When it comes to survival horror games, Resident Evil is one of the biggest game franchises out there. With that said, its coming to Netflix this year through an original CG anime series, RESIDENT EVIL Infinite Darkness.
RESIDENT EVIL Infinite Darkness to arrive on Netflix
The series will launch exclusively on Netflix and it is produced and supervised by Capcom’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who happen to be responsible for a number of titles in the Resident Evil franchise.
They have shown a teaser where we can see Leon S. Kennedy as well as Claire Redfield, indicating of their coincidental reunion at the White House. If you’re wondering about the storyline of RESIDENT EVIL Infinite Darkness, here it is, courtesy of Netflix:
In 2006, there were traces of improper access to secret Presidential files found in the White House’s network. American federal agent Leon S. Kennedy is among the group invited to the White House to investigate this incident, but when the lights suddenly go out, Leon and the SWAT team are forced to take down a horde of mysterious zombies.
Meanwhile, TerraSave staff member Claire Redfield encounters a mysterious image drawn by a youth in a country she visited, while providing support to refugees. Haunted by this drawing, which appears to be of a victim of viral infection, Claire starts her own investigation. The next morning, Claire visits the White House to request the construction of a welfare facility. There, she has a chance to reunite with Leon and uses the opportunity to show him the boy’s drawing.
Leon will be voiced by Nick Apostolides and Claire will be voiced by Stephanie Panisello, who fans will know from the reimagined Resident Evil 2 from 2019.
