UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) recorded over 7,300 units in sales for June 2026, bringing total second-quarter 2026 sales to more than 20,800 units and year-to-date sales to above 36,200 units. The company attributed the quarter’s performance to continued customer demand across Toyota’s core model range, supported by an expanding electrified line-up and ongoing customer engagement initiatives.

Throughout the second quarter, UMW Toyota Motor continued to build on the automaker’s “Multi-Pathway Electrification Strategy.” This builds on the earlier introduction of the BEV line-up, comprising the Toyota bZ4X, Urban Cruiser BEV, and Hilux BEV, alongside the launch of the all-new Toyota Yaris Cross in both ICE and hybrid variants. The company said the approach is intended to provide practical lower-carbon mobility options while allowing customers to choose the technology suited to their driving needs.

Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor, said the quarter’s performance “reflects continued customer confidence in Toyota’s product line-up,” and that the company’s focus extends beyond new product introductions to building an ecosystem that provides customers with greater choice, confidence, and convenience throughout their ownership journey.

The local Toyota distributor also continues to enhance its Toyota Extra Mile ownership program structured around six pillars in Extra Rewards, Extra Protection, Extra Convenience, Extra Peace of Mind, Extra Security, and Extra Care. The program brings together benefits including rewards, vehicle protection, service access, additional assurance, security support, and customer care, aimed at providing value throughout the vehicle ownership.
