The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will suspend all services offered through the MYEG Group starting 5th October 2026. The suspension, effective at 12.01am, involves My E.G. Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Berhad. JPJ cited unresolved contractual obligations as the reason for halting services through MYEG channels.

The Ministry of Transport later confirmed that Zetrix AI Bhd owes the federal government over RM200 million in unremitted public collections. These arrears cover payments for road tax, driving licence renewals and traffic summonses.

Financial obligations and liabilities

Reports revealed that Zetrix AI withheld collections from the start of its three-year service contract in May 2023. The company, formerly known as MyEG Services Bhd, pioneered Malaysia’s e-government delivery network since 2000.

According to its latest annual report, Zetrix AI listed other payables of RM95.5 million, with short-term loans and borrowings amounting to RM577.4 million. Non-current liabilities stood at RM1.25 billion. Despite these obligations, the group posted a net profit of RM269.3 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, bringing its 6-month net profit to RM540.58 million.

Alternative channels for motorists

Motorists can continue transactions through JPJ counters, the MyJPJ app, the public portal, kiosks, Mobile JPJ units and post offices. Services include renewals of road tax and driving licences, learner licence applications, and checking or paying traffic summonses.

Vehicle ownership transfers remain available through JPJ counters, selected kiosks, the JPJ public portal and eAuto. Bookings for the Computerised Highway Code Test (KPP01) made before October 5 via MYEG will remain valid, while new bookings must be made directly at driving institutes nationwide.

For non-Malaysians paying traffic summonses at the Malaysia-Singapore border, Mobile JPJ units will operate at the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex and Bangunan Sultan Iskandar in Johor from 8am to 10pm.

Pokdepinion: Honestly, this looks like JPJ is done waiting for MYEG to settle its dues.
