Midea Showcases New & Upcoming Product Lineup

As energy costs continue to rise, Midea has expanded its portfolio of energy-efficient appliances, with several air-conditioner and refrigerator models certified by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA). The company reports that over 40% of its air-conditioner sales now consist of inverter models designed for reduced energy consumption.

The brand also showcased other appliances in a wide range of lineups, so here’s a few photos we’ve taken to briefly summarize all the products you’ll be seeing in the near future coming from Chinese-based home appliance giant.

Alongside efficiency improvements, the latest appliances revealed today comes included with RFID and Wi-Fi capabilities, enabling users to manage their devices remotely through the unified SmartHome app; there’s also bits of AI sprinkled all over (naturally) which touts additional energy savings through the use of “big data”.

Midea continues to strengthen its presence in Malaysia, reporting over 30% year-on-year growth in its air-conditioner segment and a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20% over the past five years. With a goal of surpassing RM1 billion in annual sales by 2025, the company plans to expand its distribution network, leveraging over 1,000 dealers nationwide – to support its growth, the company is upgrading more than 50 brand stores over the next two years to provide a “more consumer-friendly, immersive shopping experience”.

In conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Midea will launch a promotional campaign starting 16 March 2025, offering Touch ‘n Go rebates worth up to RM500. Further details will be available through Midea Malaysia’s official channels in the coming weeks.

Pokdepinion: Hopefully we see good deals coming up to complement the new lineup.
