Colorful Technology Company Limited (COLORFUL) has announced the CVN X870 ARK FROZEN motherboard, designed to support the AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors. This model is the company’s first AMD X870-based motherboard, expanding its CVN lineup with a design influenced by aircraft carrier aesthetics.
COLORFUL CVN X870 ARK FROZEN

The CVN X870 ARK FROZEN features large frost gray heatsinks and a titanium gray PCB in an standard ATX form factor, representing the brand’s first use of this color scheme on an AM5 platform. Orange accent lines on the M.2 heatsinks are designed to resemble aircraft carrier runways, aligning with the military-themed styling of the CVN series.
The motherboard’s VRM is built with a 14+2+1 power phase design to support the performance demands of flagship AMD processors like the Ryzen 9 9950X / 9950X3D; it also supports Ryzen’s optimal DDR5-6400 CL28 memory profile, though higher memory clocks speeds up to DDR5-8200 is possible. For X3D processors, there’s also the X3D Game Mode built-in which provides specific core optimizations to further improve gaming performance.

Besides that, it features three PCIe slots (5.0 x16, 4.0 x16 in x4, 3.0 x1), three M.2 SSD slots (2x PCIe 5.0, 1x PCIe 4.0), USB4, Wi-Fi 7 and 5GbE LAN; the motherboard also includes a rear latch mechanism called the CVN Pullout Switch, designed to simplify graphics card removal and reduce the risk of PCB damage.
As of this writing, no details on pricing and local availability have been announced.
