ASUS has officially announced its ROG NUC gaming mini-PC is getting a refresh with the latest processing hardware courtesy of up to Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU. There’s also changes made to the exterior for this model, which includes new I/O layout and updated visuals.

ASUS ROG NUC (2025)

There are a total of four configurations available with the 2025 model, three of them (RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti & RTX 5070) is paired with the aforementioned Core Ultra 9 chip; the cheapest fourth variant adopts the Core Ultra 7 255HX processor along with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU instead. All models from this point on share identical specs, including 32GB DDR5-6400 RAM (dual CSO-DIMM slots), dual M.2 SSD slots, Killer Wi-Fi 7 BE1750x, Killer E3100G 2.5Gb Ethernet, and up to five display outputs.

Thermal management is handled by a triple-fan, dual vapor chamber QuietFlow cooling system along with a dedicated SSD heatsink to cool PCIe 5.0 SSDs onboard. Like other NUCs, maintenance can be done through a single screw with immediate access to RAM and SSD slots. The whole chassis measures 282 x 187.7 x 56.5mm and comes with less than 3 liters of internal volume, making it only slightly larger than the Xbox Series S console.

ASUS Malaysia says the refreshed ROG NUC is now available nationwide, though we haven’t been updated with pricing information at this time (we did find the top configuration currently costs RM14,559 in online retailers). If you make the purchase before 30 June 2025, the unit will be eligible for a one-year extension of the warranty.
