JETOUR Malaysia has launched the new JETOUR T1, an urban SUV positioned to address “the evolving needs of Malaysian motorists who seek style, comfort, intelligent technology and everyday versatility in a single package.” The model is built around the brand’s “Travel+” design philosophy and adds to the Chinese automaker’s existing SUV lineup in the market.
JETOUR T1 Variants, Specifications and Features
The JETOUR T1 features a curved utilitarian exterior design, including Storm-Eye LED headlamps, a front grille and sculpted body lines. It is built on a monocoque platform with a 2,800mm wheelbase and is available in four exterior colors: Khaki White, Aviation Silver, Sand Gold and Carbon Black.
The T1 is offered in two variants: the 1.5L TGDi 2WD uses a 1.5-liter turbo inline-4 engine producing 125kW (170PS) and 270Nm of torque to the front wheels; the 2.0L TGDi XWD uses a 2.0-liter equivalent producing 180kW (245PS) and 375Nm of torque, paired with an all-wheel drive system instead. Both powertrains are mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The former features 3 drive modes (Normal, Eco, Sport), while the latter has eight, covering off-road-specific (i.e. Mud, Sand, Snow) presets as well.
In terms of features, the 1.5L variant includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12.8-inch multimedia monitor and an eight-speaker audio system. The 2.0L variant adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a front passenger power seat with leg rest, a 15.6-inch multimedia monitor and a nine-speaker Sony Premium audio system.
Both variants include a 10.3-inch digital meter cluster, leatherette seats, a driver power seat, front ventilated seats, ambient lighting, voice assistant functionality, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 50W wireless charger and seven USB ports. Both variants also include auto rain-sensing front wipers and a powered tailgate. Safety features include six SRS airbags, Level 2 Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a panoramic view monitoring system; the JETOUR T1 received a 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating, with an overall score of 87.67 points.
The JETOUR T1 1.5L TGDi 2WD is priced at RM129,800, while the 2.0L TGDi XWD variant carries a price of RM146,800. Both prices are nett selling prices and exclude registration fees, inspection fees, hire purchase ownership fees, road tax, and insurance. Pricing and availability apply to Peninsula Malaysia only.
