The Razer Barracuda lineup is welcoming a generational upgrade in the form of Razer Barracuda V2 Pro, still designed for gamers who frequently move between desktop, mobile, console, and handheld play.
Razer Barracuda V2 Pro
The Razer Barracuda V2 Pro uses Razer HyperSpeed Wireless for low-latency audio that Razer says is up to twice as fast as standard Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) protocol. A built-in SmartSwitch button lets users toggle between 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth instantly instead of manually switching between input devices, and that also means players can stay on a game audio feed via 2.4 GHz while remaining connected to calls or music over Bluetooth at the same time.

Internally, 40mm Razer TriForce Bio-Cellulose drivers handle the audio with “crisp highs, clear mids, and deep, distortion-free bass.” On PC, the headset unlocks THX Spatial Audio+ with 7.1.4 virtual surround sound, which adds four overhead audio channels for more precise positional audio cues above and around the listener. Its hybrid ANC uses both external and internal microphones to filter out ambient noise whether at home, commuting, or in transit.
Unlike before (though Barracuda X was the exception), the Razer Barracuda V2 Pro ships with a dual-mode microphone system: a detachable boom mic handles voice clarity for PC gaming and squad communications, while built-in beamforming mics take over when the boom is removed, suited for on-the-go use. Regardless of which mode it operates under, Razer says AI-powered noise cancellation is active to keep voices clear.

At 285 grams, the headset features a foldable, lay-flat design with integrated dongle storage for travel convenience, while plush ear cushions and a padded headband are included for extended wear comfort across long gaming sessions and daily use. Battery life is rated at up to 70 hours, which is sufficient for multiple days of use before a charge is needed.
The Razer Barracuda V2 Pro is available now at Razer.com, RazerStores, and select retailers worldwide. It is priced at RM969 in Malaysia, with international pricing at USD 199.99 and EUR 219.99.
Pokdepinion: I mean, it doesn’t stop me from using the boom mic in the public for maximum voice clarity, right?
