Sony has unveiled the DualSense Wireless Controller Gran Turismo Limited Edition, a special-edition gamepad designed to commemorate 30 years of the Gran Turismo franchise, alongside the release of a new in-game update for Gran Turismo 7.

DualSense Gran Turismo Limited Edition Controller

The controller pays tribute to the craftsmanship and engineering ethos that has defined the Gran Turismo franchise since 1996 – think racing stripes, motorsport-inspired graphics, and a textured carbon-fiber-style front plate that draws directly from automotive design language. It’s even got the hood fasteners, electrical killswitch (blue-and-red triangle with a bolt) and fire extinguisher signs (marked ‘E’) stamped on the controller’s touchpad, too.

“Thirty years ago, Gran Turismo began with a vision to share the beauty and joy of the automobile. This commemorative controller celebrates the journey we have shared together, and I am deeply grateful to everyone whose passion continues to inspire us,” said Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi.

The DualSense Wireless Controller Gran Turismo Limited Edition will be available in limited quantities globally on 10 December 2026. Pricing is set at $84.99 USD, ¥12,480 (including tax), €84.99, and £74.99, with actual retailer prices subject to variation; Malaysian pricing has not been announced. Pre-orders open on 22 October at 10:00AM local time at participating retailers.

Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Part 1 Update

Alongside the controller announcement, Gran Turismo 7 received Part 1 of its Spec IV update: it introduces six new vehicles, the Sportsland Sugo circuit, new World Circuit events, new Scapes locations, updated Car Viewer features, and an Experience mode.

The six new vehicles joining the game’s roster are the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, Ferrari F355 Berlinetta, Honda Civic Si Group A version, Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo, Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line, and Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston. Each car can be obtained via Brand Central, Used Cars, or Legend Cars using in-game credits.
