Shopee Malaysia and the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP) have announced a partnership to help local retailers and cooperatives reach online customers through Shopee Instant Mart.
Shopee Instant Mart Welcomes Local Retailers
Through Shopee Instant Mart, participating retailers can list ready-stock products from their physical stores on the platform, such as groceries and medical supplies; once an order is placed, the retailer prepares it and a delivery partner collects and delivers it to the customer within one to four hours. The arrangement gives small retailers an additional online sales channel without requiring them to hold separate stock, which helps lowering the barrier to entry for going digital.
Under the partnership, KUSKOP handles ground-level merchant engagement by identifying eligible small businesses and cooperatives within its network, facilitating onboarding, and providing operational guidance. Shopee contributes its digital marketplace infrastructure and rider network to extend these retailers’ reach to a broader customer base.
Shopee Instant Mart was launched earlier in 2026 and remains open to physical stores and retail outlets that meet the program’s basic requirements, including product weight and dimension criteria. Retailers interested in joining can find more details through Shopee’s official channels.
