With the remaining time for the Pixel 10 series to come out, much has been said regarding how different it will be from its predecessor. We will expect the most advanced Pixel Google has ever made, with a rumored all-new Tensor G5 chip and enhanced biometrics. Especially since the Pixel 9 series has not satisfied most users’ expectations.
When Will the Google Pixel 10 Be Released?
Of course, at this stage, there is no official release date for the Pixel 10 phones. But codenames of the series have surfaced online and four models have been revealed to be named after different breeds of horses: Frankel, Blazer, Mustang, and Rango.
Google has had a pretty predictable release schedule for its devices over the years. Here’s when the previous major (no “a”) models were released:
- Pixel 6: October 2021;
- Pixel 7: October 2022;
- Pixel 8: October 2023;
- Pixel 9: August 2024;
- Pixel 10: October 2025 (prediction).
It’s also possible that the Pixel 10 series could follow last year’s models and arrive in August of 2025. Still, Google will likely go back to its regular schedule and unveil the Pixel 10 series in October 2025.
The Google Pixel 10 Will Possibly Be More Powerful Than Even the Galaxy S25
According to a report from Business Korea, Google is abandoning chips made by Samsung (like Samsung itself in the S25 series) and switching to TSMC. This means that the 3nm Tensor G5 could be Google’s first truly successful chip. Moreover, a China Times report claims that the Tensor G5 chipset has already moved into the design stage, which means that the final version of the chip is complete and ready for production.
Energy Efficiency
Presumably, the new chip will solve the problems of performance and heat dissipation that were characteristic of previous Tensor chips. By the way, the power efficiency of the future Tensor G5 will find demand among at least video makers and forex traders who need the head of the device during active trading sessions. In fact, if you use One Click Trading on the JM platform, which enables opening and closing orders, setting Stop Loss and Take Profit levels, and placing pending orders in just a few clicks, the need for long battery life is no longer so critical. But still, the power efficiency of the new chip is expected to be very high, which will be especially noticeable in heavy applications.
RAM
The regular Pixel 10 would go up to 12GB RAM, and internal storage of up to 128 or 256GB, respectively. Still, Pixel 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and 10 Pro Fold might offer 16GB of RAM and even up to 1TB internally, which frankly is not so far from what is the norm in today’s market.
AI Features
The Tensor processors by Google have already established themselves as the best for these roles, that is, for artificial intelligence and machine learning. Going by such improvements, the Tensor G5 will most likely expand these capabilities even further. Gemini artificial intelligence tasks handled on devices, including voice recognition, image processing, and real-time translation, will get even faster and more accurate.
Gaming Performance
Gaming performance has never been a strong point of Pixel smartphones. But with the arrival of the Tensor G5, that may finally change. We don’t expect gaming performance comparable to Qualcomm processors, but we are very hopeful that Google will finally make a significant step in this direction.
What More Is Known
The design of the Pixel 10 series is still a matter of speculation, as is the screen. According to some information, there will be no changes in this regard.
Design
Google is expected to continue with the new flatter and more industrial design introduced in the Pixel 9 series. But perhaps Google will try to combine the smooth flat sides with smoother curves.
Display
While the Pixel 9’s 3,000-nit brightness is already impressive, the Pixel 10 could get even brighter. Adaptive refresh rate is also expected to come with a range of 1 to 120 hertz and finally an adequate PWM figure.
Cameras
Pixel cameras have not been an objective top of the market for three years now, so Google will try to get back to its “former glory”. Developers are also aware of the problem with the Pixel 9’s front-facing camera, namely its horrendous noise level in low light, and are expected to do a lot of work on this problem.
In Addition: What About Prices?
Let’s recap the starting prices for the Pixel 9 series:
Pixel 9: $ 799
Pixel 9 Pro: $999
Pixel 9 Pro XL: $1099
Pixel 9 Pro Fold: $1799
Pokdepinion: The Pixel 10 series is expected to cost the same as the previous series.
