HONOR Hinting Magic V2 Foldable Is Coming To Malaysia Soon
Chinese smartphone maker HONOR today dropped the teaser on what looks to be a new flagship set to arrive in Malaysia, and based on the press release, it’s likely to be the brand’s latest foldable flagship, Magic V2, heading to local retailers.
The company talked about “embracing the millimeter era”, and based on what we know, HONOR Magic V2 is the only foldable with just 9.9mm of thickness (4.7mm unfolded). It is also the lightest device in its class, at just 231g. The teaser image clearly illustrates a device with folding capabilities, so it’s not too far off to say this is the device we’re looking at.
Specs-wise, the HONOR Magic V2 will come with a 7.92-inch internal display (9.78:9) and a 6.43-inch external display (20:9), both OLED 120Hz panels; powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with up to 16GB+512GB configuration. It’s unclear if the Ultimate variant, as listed on the company’s global website, may also arrive in Malaysia – it comes with 16GB of RAM with a massive 1TB of storage onboard.
As for the release date, HONOR has announced that the official unveiling is set for 3 January 2024 – which is exactly one week away as of this writing.
