PROTON has officially launched the Proton e.MAS 7 Tour at its Centre of Excellence (COE), which will see the e.MAS 7 driving across the country to showcase its capabilities. the tour follows the conclusion of Geely’s Galaxy E5 (the sister model of e.MAS 7) Long Test Drive World Tour, with Proton now taking the lead to showcase its EV across Malaysia.
Proton e.MAS 7 Tour

The Proton e.MAS 7 Tour, starting this October 5, will cover more than 2,000 kilometers to showcase the EV’s performance across varying terrains. The journey will span coastlines, mountainous regions, and urban areas throughout all states – starting with Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor, before moving on to other regions including Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan, and Penang. The tour will also include stops in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and East Malaysia, starting with Sabah and ending in Sarawak.

The e.MAS 7 was developed alongside Geely’s Galaxy E5, which the company has referred as its “developmental sibling”. The Geely EV survived though some fairly tough conditions, including the recent Typhoon Yagi that caused floods and sub-optimal road conditions during its 3,700km-long southbound trip from China to Malaysia. Lessons learned from this trip was then applied into the development of the e.MAS 7.
In advance of the main tour, the public can view the e.MAS 7 SUV and its team at events in Putrajaya on 25 September and Shah Alam on 26 September.
Pokdepinion: Malaysia’s weather will be kinder for sure – as for the road conditions though, guess we’ll find out how it fares.
