Samsung’s Upcoming Galaxy S24 Series to Feature Familiar Charging Speeds with New Chargers in the Works

As anticipation grows for the Galaxy S24 series, expectations suggest that the charging speeds for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, S24, and S24+ will remain consistent with their 2023 predecessors – 45W for the Plus and Ultra, and 25W for the vanilla S23. Despite the two smaller models sporting slightly larger batteries, the increase is minimal at 100/200mAh.

Leakster Roland Quandt reports that Samsung is actively developing new chargers to complement the upcoming smartphones. The first in line is the wired Samsung Charger Duo 50W (model number EP-T5020). Equipped with two USB-C ports, it is speculated to deliver a maximum of 45W with one port in use and 2x 25W when both are in use.

The second charger is a revamped version of the Samsung 45W Power Adapter, known as the EP-T4511, succeeding the EP-T4510. While specific differences are unclear, the new model is expected to retain a single USB-C port like its predecessor.

Notably, these chargers will be sold separately, aligning with the industry trend as Samsung, like many smartphone manufacturers, has discontinued the practice of including chargers in the box with its phones. Stay tuned for more details as the official unveiling of the new flagship series approaches.
