The Sony A7R VI has officially been unveiled. It’s the 6th-generation model in its acclaimed Alpha 7R series, setting a new benchmark for high-resolution full-frame mirrorless cameras. Priced at RM18,999, the A7R VI will be available starting June 2026, alongside the new XLR-A4 XLR adaptor for professional audio recording, retailing at RM2,599.

The Alpha 7R VI boasts a 66.8MP back-illuminated fully-stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor paired with the BIONZ XR2 engine, delivering exceptional detail, colour accuracy, and performance across diverse shooting scenarios, from fast-moving athletes to cinematic landscapes. With blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 30fps, advanced AI-powered autofocus with skeletal-based human pose estimation, and 8K video recording up to 120 minutes, Sony is positioning the A7R VI as a versatile tool for both photographers and filmmakers.
