ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 Dual Screen For Pro Gamers and Streamers
In terms of dual-display laptops, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 2022 achieves new innovative standards. The ROG ScreenPad Plus offers a second screen for higher efficiency, streaming gameplay, and even managing supported games like Dying Light 2.
Thanks to the new 4-directional hinge, the ScreenPad Plus rises and slides back to meet the primary display as the laptop unfolds. In comparison to the previous generation, this reduces the distance between the two screens, resulting in a practically bezel-free experience for total immersion.
The laptop features AMD Ryzen 9 6980HX CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU with 150W Dynamic Boost for high-end horsepower, with an upgraded Liquid Metal Conductonaut Extreme thermal paste that reduces CPU temperatures by 15 degrees when compared to traditional thermal pastes.
The raised secondary screen’s AAS Plus 2.0 air intake produces 30% more airflow above the fans, ensuring these leading components keep cool for long-term performance in games and creative programmes. In competitive situations, a MUX Switch assures that you get every frame.
For the main display, the Zephyrus Duo provides two panel variants, both of which are Dolby Vision integrated. Firstly, the ROG Nebula HDR has all of the features of ROG’s normal Nebula Display but adds 512 Mini LED dimming zones that can reach 1100 nits of peak brightness for spectacular contrast and colour. This VESA-compliant QHD 16:10 panel has a refresh rate of 165Hz and is QHD. With a 100,000:1 contrast ratio, DisplayHDR 1000 is approved and Nebula HDR is the display to have for the best HDR gaming and movie-watching experience.
The second option is a new ROG-exclusive display called a Dual Spec panel, which can flip between 4K 120Hz and Full HD 240Hz while gaming or surfing the net, allowing gamers to prioritise resolution or framerate. In Full HD mode, Pixel Acceleration Technology delivers lightning-fast upscaling for clear visuals at competitive framerates.
The laptop includes ROG’s NumberPad technology on the trackpad, a keyboard with 1.7mm of travel and per-key RGB, six speakers with Dual Force-Cancelling Woofers, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res audio, and two-way AI Noise Cancellation.
With all the listed features. the 2022 Zephyrus Duo 16 has a smaller footprint than its predecessor, putting a 16-inch display into a chassis designed for 15-inch laptops.
