[CES 2025] HP Announces New Commercial EliteBook Laptops & Workstation PCs

Earlier at CES 2025, HP unveiled its latest portfolio of laptops and PCs catering to commercial users, such as the EliteBook laptops and Z-series workstations.

HP EliteBook Laptops & Z Workstation Lineup

Starting off with HP’s EliteBook series, the EliteBook Ultra G1i will feature Intel Core Ultra 200V processors, with up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and 2TB SSD. Its display is a 14-inch 2.8K 120Hz OLED with optional touch support, while the entire chassis weighs just 1.19kg. Elsewhere, the laptop comes with a 9MP camera, dual microphones, and a quad-speaker setup designed to support video conferencing.

Next comes the EliteBook X G1i and EliteBook X Flip G1i, both featuring the same Core Ultra 200V chips and up to 32GB LPDDR5X on-package RAM, with storage options range from 512GB to 2TB. They will also come with Wi-Fi 6E, with optional cellular 5G support; display and chassis specs is where both diverge, with the standard clamshell form factor featuring 14-inch QHD+ 120Hz panel, whilst the Flip model comes with a 14-inch FHD+ touch panel instead. The former also is slightly heavier at 1.39kg, while the latter is 1.18kg.

HP also introduced two new Z-series workstations, the 14-inch ZBook Ultra G1a laptop and Z2 Mini G1a mini-PC. Both come equipped with AMD’s new Ryzen AI Max PRO series APUs with up to 16 CPU cores and onboard Radeon 8000S series graphics, all connected to the massive 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM to comfortably handle memory-hungry workloads. HP also announced plans to expand its workstation lineup with an 18-inch mobile workstation launching this spring.

HP has yet to announce local pricing, but here’s US MSRP for reference: the EliteBook Ultra G1i will be available at $2,019, while EliteBook X G1i and EliteBook X Flip G1i comes at $1,999 and $2,249, respectively. No pricing has been announced for the Z-series workstations at the time of this writing.
