Dell XPS 13 Plus to Arrive in Malaysia Soon

As part of their CES 2022 lineup, the Dell XPS 13 Plus was unveiled but we didn’t know if and when it will be arriving in Malaysia until now. Here’s what you need to know.

Dell XPS 13 Plus to Arrive in Malaysia Soon

The Dell XPS 13 Plus is one of the many products that Dell unveiled at CES 2022, and it’s officially coming to Malaysia this March 2022. Unfortunately, local prices are still unknown at this point in time.

In case you weren’t aware, the Dell XPS 13 Plus has some notable changes over the standard model. For starters, the row of function keys on the keyboard that sits close to the display is now a capacitive touch bar. While you can still retain the original row’s functions, it can now effectively double as media keys.

Apart from that, you also have an invisible glass touchpad which makes use of haptic vibration motors to simulate clicks. In theory, it should be similar to how the iPhone 8’s button is like but with a different feel. We can’t say much about how well it works until we’ve reviewed it ourselves.

The biggest change is, unsurprisingly, the components inside as it’s now powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core CPU with Intel Iris X GPU. It can handle up to 28W of power, almost double the capacity of the previous generation, so it can handle more intense tasks like video encoding better.

Keep in mind that you can’t upgrade the RAM on your own so you will need to decide on the memory configuration upon purchase. As for battery life, nothing was mentioned but it does include Express Charge 2.0, which is said to give up to 80% charge in just one hour. Dell will also be including a USB-C to USB-A adapter inside the box, and it’s made of 100% recyclable material.

Once again, the Dell XPS 13 Plus is expected to arrive in Malaysia sometime in March 2022. There may be some differences with the specifications when it arrives in the country but we will report on that, as well as the retail pricing, when information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: I certainly hope it proves to be a good step ahead of the original XPS 13 laptop, which was already a great one to begin with. Can’t wait to get our hands on it for review.
