HP Malaysia Launches the New OMEN 15 Gaming Laptop
At a virtual launch event today, HP Malaysia has officially launched the new OMEN 15 gaming laptop. Apart from that, they also introduced a variety of gaming-focused products for the masses to enjoy.
HP OMEN 15
The HP OMEN 15 gaming laptop is powered by up to the Intel Core i7-10750H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q. It has a 15.6-inch Full HD display with up to 300Hz refresh rate and G-SYNC support. Unsurprisingly, you have the option of having a per-key RGB keyboard with this gaming laptop.
Its new IR thermopile sensor is said to optimize thermal efficiency, allowing it to run quietly under normal operation, and then speed it up with the Dynamic Power feature when needed. With large vent openings and the Tempest Cooling technology, it’s said to have 3-sided venting and 5-way airflow to allow it to perform close to a desktop PC.
With the hybrid setting in OMEN Command Centre, it has a claimed battery life of up to 12.5 hours. For future upgrades, all you need is a Phillips-head screwdriver and unscrew the single panel access to get to the RAM and storage drives. Compared to its previous iteration, it is 8% shorter and 11% thinner.
The HP OMEN 15 gaming laptop is now available with a retail price of RM4,439. If you purchase it, you will also be getting a free e-Wallet voucher worth RM100.
HP Pavilion Gaming 15
Apart from that, you also have the new HP Pavilion Gaming 15, powered by the 10th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU. It has a 15.6-inch Full HD display with micro-edge bezels 144Hz refresh rate.
As for thermals, you have dual fans with wide rear corner vent and additional air inlets for airflow. This gaming laptop also comes with front-firing speakers tuned by B&O Audio for improved immersion.
The HP Pavilion Gaming 15 is now available with a retail price of RM3,989. If you purchase it, you will also be getting a free e-Wallet voucher worth RM100.
Other HP Gaming Products
Apart from the two gaming laptops, there’s also the 27-inch OMEN 27i Gaming Monitor with 165Hz fresh rate and 1ms response time. It uses Nano IPS panel technology with QHD resolution which is said to deliver 98% DCI-P3 colour. It will be retailing for RM1,799.
Then you have the OMEN by HP Citadel Gaming Chair, which features extra thick cushions, pillows for lumbar and neck support, spacious seats, and a high back for better posture. The seat height can be adjusted with a tilt that locks in place. It is said to have an aluminum base which supports up to 300lbs / 136kg in weight. It will be retailing for RM1,399.
Next, we have the OMEN Vector Mouse, which is said to feature the “Esports grade” OMEN Radar 3 sensor with 16,000 DPI, 400 IPS, acceleration, and self-calibration. It uses Omron switches with a 50 million click lifespan and braided cables. It will be retailing for RM189.
Lastly, we have the 7.1 OMEN Blast Headset. It is said to offer 360° spatial awareness with 7.1 surround sound and has an audio equalizer where you can create custom audio profiles for each game via the OMEN Command Center. It also has a suspension headband and soft padding. It will be retailing for RM319.
