Microsoft has announced its new Surface Laptop (13-inch) and Surface Pro (12-inch) are now available to pre-order in Malaysia; the company says both will be available nationwide beginning 22 July 2025.

The new 13-inch Surface Laptop is the “thinnest and lightest Surface Laptop yet,” Microsoft claims. Inside the laptop you’ll find the new Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus SoC, coupled with 16GB of RAM; the display is a FHD+ (1920 x 1280) 60Hz display with 3:2 aspect ratio, and battery life claims include “up to 23 hours of video playback and up to 16 hours of active web browsing.”

As for the new Surface Pro, it retains the 2-in-1 form factor with an integrated kickstand and detachable keyboard weighing just 680 grams in total. It also runs on the Snapdragon X Plus chipset with 16GB RAM onboard, whereas its display features slightly a higher 2196 x 1464 resolution (3:2 aspect ratio) at a smoother 90Hz refresh rate. Battery life is claimed to be “up to 16 hours” on a single charge.
For pricing, the Surface Pro is priced at RM3,999 and RM4,399 for 256GB and 512GB versions respectively; whereas the Surface Laptop is priced at RM4,488 for 256GB and RM4,888 for 512GB. Pre-orders for the Surface Pro will include a complimentary Surface Pro Keyboard, while the Surface Laptop will include a complimentary Surface Arc Mouse.
