Designed as the world’s first foldable PC, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold was initially revealed back in January 2020. It has a 13.3-inch QXGA pOLED foldable touch display with 300 nits brightness and 95% DCI-P3 coverage. It’s powered by the Intel Core i5-L16G7 CPU with Intel Hybrid Technology and Intel integrated graphics. As for memory, you get 8GB LPDDR4X PoP RAM clocking in at 4267MHz and 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD.

Apart from that, you also have a front-facing Hybrid 5MP IR Camera, Dolby Atmos speakers, a quad-microphone system, the choice of Windows 10 Home x64 or Pro x64, and a leather folio cover. To juice up this foldable laptop, you have a 50Whr battery and a 65W charger with Rapid Charge support, with battery life said to last about 10 hours per full charge.

As for connectivity, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold has two USB-C 3.2 Gen2 ports, Pen accessory support, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1. It’s also worth noting that one of the USB-C port can be used to output to DisplayPort. Unlike in other regions, the Malaysian version will not have 4G LTE or 5G support. You can choose to customize the foldable laptop further by adding more parts, accessories and software on their main website.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is currently available for purchase in Malaysia with a retail price of RM10,849 inclusive of delivery.

Pokdepinion: I’m personally curious as to how viable this type of laptop is. Innovation is great, but would it affect its productivity potential? Regardless, it’s great that Lenovo continuously innovates with daring designs.
