For the second year, Apple is bringing back its “Here’s to the Dreamers” campaign to honor the exceptional talents in Southeast Asia who have “navigated challenges and turned their dreams into reality.” The campaign, which spans across the App Store, Apple Music, and the Apple TV app, highlights creatives, developers, and artists who have challenged norms with passion, creativity, and determination, aiming to inspire others to pursue their own dreams.
Apple’s Curations
The App Store will feature stories of local indie developers who have turned their visions into reality despite the odds – among them is Joan Low from Singapore, who left her banking career to create ThoughtFull Chat, an app that connects users with mental health support through text-based or video therapy. Another featured developer is Indonesia’s MassHive Media, founded by siblings Andika Pradana and Anggia Lestari, creators of the simulation game Potion Permit.
Also highlighted is DreamChaser, Vietnam’s first historical pixel-art endless runner game, developed by Phuc Pham and Hiep Tran. Lastly, the WithU app from Thailand, developed by Tyme Suteesopon and Sirin Thamakaison, offers users daily doses of positivity through rotating inspirational messages on their home screens.
Apple Music will showcase some of Southeast Asia’s most resonant young musical talents, including Thai rapper SPRITE, Filipino hip-hop artist Hev Abi, and Indonesian sensation NIKI. Also featured are Malaysian singer-songwriter Firdhaus, Singaporean rapper Yung Raja, and singer-songwriter Rangga Jones. As part of the campaign, each artist will release live performance videos, interviews, and Essential Playlist exclusively on Apple Music, offering fans a unique glimpse into their musical journeys.
The Apple TV app will offer a special curation of Apple Originals featuring inspiring stories of ambition and triumph, such as Ted Lasso, Pachinko, and Trying. Additionally, a collection of local movies from Southeast Asia’s storytellers will be featured, showcasing the work of regional filmmakers.
Pokdepinion: Spreading positivity all around with this one. That said, there’s still plenty of content to indulge.
