The next Galaxy Unpacked date has been confirmed for 11th August 2021 at 10AM EST / 10PM GMT+8 (Malaysia time). Based on the hashtags listed in the posted, we will be seeing four new devices; Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Buds 2, and Galaxy Watch 4.

So far, we’ve learned quite a bit about the two foldable smartphones, with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 coming with S Pen support, two Super AMOLED displays with similar sizes to its predecessor, triple camera setup for the rear, an under-display selfie camera, 10MP camera for the cover display, and coming with Android 11 out of the box. As for SoC, they will be going with the Snapdragon 888.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 on the other hand, which is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 888, will have a dual-camera setup for the rear, a larger 1.9-inch external display, and a 120Hz 6.7-inch main display. Interestingly, it’s said to be 20% cheaper than its predecessor, but we will have to wait until its launch to find out if it’s actually true.

As for the other two gadgets, the Galaxy Watch 4 is getting a lot of attention as it moves away from Tizen and into Wear OS with a One UI watch interface. The Galaxy Buds 2 on the other hand seems to have a similar style to the Galaxy Buds Pro, but with more colours to choose from. We will be reporting more on all of these as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: I’m already looking to upgrade to a foldable and I can’t wait to see how this one will do. I’ve personally enjoyed both the Fold and Flip previously, and now I’m stuck thinking which one I should go for between the two new foldables.
