Here Are HMD Global’s Latest Nokia Smartphones — Includes An Iconic Classic!
HMD Global has just unveiled their latest lineup of devices for the year 2020, which includes the Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 5.3, Nokia 1.3, as well as their latest classic rework, the Nokia 5310.
Nokia 8.3 5G
First up is the Nokia 8.3 5G, HMD Global’s first ever 5G smartphone. It is also the world’s first ‘truly global 5G smartphone’. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 765G chipset and comes with a quad camera setup, with the main camera being a 64MP shooter. As you’d expect, they’ve partnered with ZEISS in the development of the phone.
PureDisplay technology is available where you will be able to enjoy 4K Ultra HD content as well as video HDR. They’ve also introduced a new ZEISS cinematic effects, allowing you to capture and edit videos in cinematic colors.
The display is at 6.81″, so it’s pretty big. As you can see, they’ve opted for a punch-hole camera on the front. Out of the box, it will run on Android 10, and as usual for HMD Global smartphones, they will offer monthly security updates.
Nokia 8.3 5G will be released in the summer for the price of EUR 599 (~RM2,826).
Following the list is the new Nokia 5.3, their latest mid-range offering. It sports a 6.55″ display and is powered by a Snapdragon 665 chipset under the hood. They claim that the battery can last you up to two days, and by our experience with Snapdragon 665-powered devices, I can say that it’s pretty efficient in battery consumption. Oh and the battery is 4000mAh big.
There’s three memory configurations; 3GB+64, 4GB+64GB, and 6GB+64GB. For cameras, it comes with a 16MP main camera, 8MP telephoto lens, 8MP ultra-wide shooter, as well as a 5MP depth sensor.
The Nokia 5.3 will be releasing later in April starting at the price of EUR 189 (~RM891).
Finishing off their smartphone list is the new Nokia 1.3, their latest addition to entry-level segment. It comes with a 5.71″ HD+ display and it is surrounded by a polycarbonate shell, where you can select from three distinct colors, charcoal, cyan and sand.
Running on the latest Android 10 (Go Edition), it will also be getting monthly updates for 2 years. Adding to that, it will also be the first smartphone to feature Camera Go from Google. They claim that it will offer better camera performance, especially for portraits.
The Nokia 1.3 will be available in early April for the price of EUR 95 (~RM448).
