HONOR Officially Launches X9b 5G & HONOR Watch 4, Available November 10th
In the event last night, HONOR has officially announced the launch of HONOR X9b 5G, its second iteration of the durability-focused line of smartphones. Alongside the smartphone’s launch is the new HONOR Watch 4, both of which is set to be available starting November 10th, 2023.
The HONOR X9b 5G, as the company touts it, is the world’s first SGS 5-star-certified for all-angle drop resistance, thanks to what it calls the “Ultra-bounce Anti-drop Technology” that consists of three-layer structure that helps absorb the impact of phone drops. The new design increases the shock absorption capacity by 1.2x, and survives falls from as tall as 1.5m at all angles. The X9b also features a massive 5800mAh battery capacity capable to last up to 3 days, or up to 19 hours of video playback.
Elsewhere, it packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, 12+8GB RAM and 256GB storage, 6.78-inch 1.5K (2652 x 1200) AMOLED curved display, 108MP main rear camera, IP53 ingress protection, and a new vegan leather-based Sunrise Orange colorway to sit alongside the usual Titanium Silver and Midnight Black variants. It’ll be available at the price of RM1,499 – with free gifts worth RM978 upon pre-ordering, including a free 1-year front + back crack replacement.
Meanwhile, the event also unveiled the new HONOR Watch 4, which is priced at RM499. This wearable packs a 1.75-inch AMOLED display, 60Hz refresh rate, Bluetooth calling support and a maximum of 14-days runtime on a single charge. It’s available in Gold and Black colors.
