HUAWEI has launched its latest flagship series, the HUAWEI P60, in China – which promises to redefine mobile photography and aesthetics. The new series features an upgraded optical system, including a 48MP main shooter with multi-aperture system that utilizes 10 steps from f/1.4 to f/4; imaging sensor with RYYB color array, which allows for more light to enter and achieve high dynamic range in scenes with high light ratios.

The camera’s interface is updated with the new XMAGE UX which is said to feature a new zoom ring for easier controls, also comes equipped is the long-travel sliding axis zoom lens group that allows users to capture clear images from various distances which can go all the way to Macro distances, according to the company.

The phone’s design aesthetics are inspired by Rococo design, and it introduces the industry’s first “Mother-of-pearl design”, which uses natural mineral bead powder to create a unique natural texture. Additionally, the phone has a 6.67″ quad-curved screen design with a 1-120Hz automatic response dynamic refresh rate for a more immersive display experience and balanced battery life. HUAWEI claims the P60 is the first model to be TUV-certified for color accuracy, which targets DCI-P3 color space.

It also features a 4815mAh silicon-carbon negative electrode battery with 50W wireless HUAWEI SuperCharge and up to 88W wired SuperCharge capabilities (which claims 0-50% in 10 minutes). However, the smartphone maker didn’t provide details on performance metrics like SoC and storage options – so that’ll have to wait until the company drops more information down the line. HUAWEI is expected to bring the P60 Series into Malaysia, but nothing solid as of this writing. Stay tuned for updates!

Pokdepinion: A lot of R&D has been spent into the cameras by the looks of it.
