In the ever-evolving world of smartphones, leaks and speculations continue to fuel anticipation, and the latest leak surrounding the iPhone 16 Pro has tech enthusiasts buzzing with excitement. A source close to 91mobiles has shared what seems to be a preliminary schematic of the iPhone 16 Pro, offering a glimpse into its design with some intriguing modifications.

The leaked schematic showcases the familiar iPhone design, but with a noteworthy addition – the introduction of a “Capture Button.” Positioned just below the power button on the right side of the frame, this new button is reminiscent of soft shutter buttons found on cameras. A light press is expected to focus the camera, while a complete press will capture the perfect shot. Notably, Sony phones had a similar feature in the past.

Accompanying the visual revelation are exact dimensions, indicating a subtle increase in size. The iPhone 16 Pro is estimated to measure 149.6 x 71.4 x 8.4 mm, making it slightly taller and marginally wider. This aligns with previous reports suggesting a larger 6.3-inch screen for the iPhone 16 Pro, compared to the 6.1-inch display of its predecessor.

The decision to enlarge the iPhone 16 Pro may be attributed to design considerations. Rumors circulating in tech circles suggest that the upcoming model could inherit the tretraprism telephoto camera from the iPhone 15 Pro Max, potentially necessitating adjustments to accommodate the hardware within the device.

It’s worth noting that this leaked information contradicts a previously leaked image in February depicting a vertical camera stack. With the actual release of the iPhone 16 series expected in September, skepticism remains prudent when interpreting leaks, as design details and features may evolve in the lead-up to the official unveiling. Stay tuned for more updates as the iPhone 16 Pro continues to capture attention in the smartphone landscape.

It’s part of why I loved Sony’s phones, and it looks like Apple is putting their own interesting twist to it.
