The Lenovo Legion 2 Pro gaming smartphone is set to launch on 8th April 2021. Until that day comes, the company is making more and more teasers leading up to the event. As a result, we managed to learn a number of things about the upcoming device.

For starters, it has a monstrous 6.92-inch AMOLED display, made by Samsung, with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The display resolution will be Full HD+, 2460 x 1080 to be precise. Unsurprisingly given recent devices and leaks, it will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. What’s surprising here is that the SoC will have a twin fan cooling system for improved performance.

It also appears that the Lenovo Legion 2 Pro has appeared in the Master Lu benchmark, which reveals a 16GB RAM / 512GB internal storage configuration. To add to that, we expect to also see a 12GB RAM / 128GB internal storage variant along with a 12GB RAM / 256 internal storage variant.

To power all of this, it will be coming with a 5,500mAh battery and it still retains the dual USB-C port design with each supporting 45W fast charge, which will make 90W if you use both simultaneously. There’s definitely more to know about this gaming smartphone so we will report more as soon as information becomes available.

Pokdepinion: It’s shaping up to be a notable upgrade over its predecessor, but I do wonder if the camera system will be better. I understand that it’s a gaming phone so it shouldn’t be a priority, but it still needs to be competitive enough to fight against the other smartphones out there.
