Movie Director Claims Apple Doesn’t Allow Villains To Use iPhones
It’s hard sometimes to watch a movie and not notice that some of the devices that’s shown in them. You’d probably seen protagonists to use iPhones. For villains however, that doesn’t seem the case. The reason behind it? Well it seems that Apple dislikes the idea according to a movie director.
Director Rian Johnson, who was behind Star Wars: The Last Jedi claims that Apple “strongly discourages the practice”.
He has said that it’s Apple policy on the use of their products in films and it’s pretty strict.
Here’s what he’s said in an interview:
(Apple) lets you use iPhones in movies but — and this is very pivotal if you’re ever watching a mystery movie — bad guys cannot have iPhones on camera.

The policy doesn’t stop at just iPhones. MacBooks is another popular product from the company and similar to iPhones, it’s seen normally being used by the ‘good guys’ instead.
