New Sony Xperia 1 III, Xperia 5 III and Xperia 10 III Are Coming To Malaysia
Sony has just introduced that three new Xperia smartphones will be available in Malaysia soon. The three smartphones are the Sony Xperia 1III, Xperia 5 III and Xperia 10 III. The Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III are flagship offerings whereas the Xperia 10 III is a mid-range smartphone from Sony.
Sony Xperia 1 III and Sony Xperia 5 III
Both the Sony Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III are were co-developed with the engineers behind Alpha series cameras and include fast, accurate continuous AF across all lenses and Real-time Eye AF. The Xperia 5 III features object tracking technology that can capture accurate shots of moving subjects in a wide variety of scenarios.
The Xperia 1 III features an upgraded object tracking feature with Real-time Tracking. Real-time Tracking can accurately detect and focus on a subject and continue to track it even if it temporarily moves out of sight. This is achieved through the use of AI-based algorithms and the 3D iToF sensor to measure distance.
Both Xperia smartphones are all the world’s first smartphone with Variable telephoto lens paired with Dual PD sensor that reaches up to a 105mm focal length. When switching between 70mm and 105mm, the focus is adjusted in an instant to swiftly capture the beauty in the detail. Apart from that, both the Sony Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III feature a triple camera setup with 12MP lenses for all three rear cameras.
Furthermore, the Xperia 1 III features a larger than life 6.5-inch 21:9 CinemaWide 4K HDR OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate (Gorilla Glass Victus) whilst the Xperia 5 III offers a 6.1-inch 21:9 CinemaWide HDR OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both devices are powered by a Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with a 4,500mAh battery that can be charged up to 50% in just 30 minutes with the included charger XZQ-UC1.
Furthermore, Xperia Adaptive Charging allows the battery life to be extended up to three years (up from two in previous models) in both models. Both Xperia devices support wireless charging and Battery share function, allowing the device to be connected to a wireless charger to conveniently top up the battery. Thanks to the Battery share function, it can double as a charging pad for other devices too. Additionally, both Xperia devices IP65/68 rating as well as stereo speakers and a 3.5mmm headphones jack.
The Sony Xperia 1 III is available in Frosted Black and Frosted Purple and will release at the end of July this year. Xperia 10 III
The new Sony Xperia 10 III is the mid-range offering and features a 21:9 Wide 6-inch notch-less FHD+ OLED display that includes HDR support. The display uses Gorilla Glass 6 and the devices come with an IP65/68 rating.
The Xperia 10 III also touts a triple camera setup which includes an ultra-wide 16mm lens, a 27mm wide lens and 54mm telephoto lens. The camera system also features an enhanced image processing algorithm that allows users to take photos in low light with less noise, both in Night mode and Auto mode. When shooting in bright sunshine or in backlit conditions, Auto HDR helps prevent blackout in the shaded areas of the shot or whiteout in the bright parts, ensuring faces and expressions are more visible.
Under the hood of the Xperia 10 III is a Snapdragon 690 SoC as well as a 4,500mAh with support for Xperia Adaptive Charging. There is also a 3.5mm audio jack along with native High-Resolution Audio playback, Xperia 10 III also features DSEE Ultimate, which uses AI to upscale tracks to near High-Resolution Audio quality by automatically improving audio frequency and bit rate in real-time.
