It appears that the OPPO Reno5 will be packing a Snapdragon 765G chipset while the Pro version will instead come with a Dimensity 1000+ SoC from MediaTek.

The OPPO Reno5 Pro sports a bigger display at 6.55-inch but both variants will offer an OLED panel that supports 90Hz refresh rate. Powering them up are 4300mAh (standard) and 4350mAh (Pro) batteries, which you can charge with their 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charger. There’s also support for reverse charging, should you need it.

In terms of cameras, they both come with the same camera configuration which offers a 64MP main camera with PDAF, 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth shooter. At the front is a 32MP selfie shooter for both devices.

As for memory, it’s not confirmed yet on what variant will be arriving but there’s option of 8GB RAM paired with 128GB internal storage and a bigger 12GB RAM that’s mated with 256GB.

It appears that there will be two color variant; Galactic Silver and Starry Black for the OPPO Reno5 series. We’ll update accordingly should there be more news on the series. Till then, stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: I for one would like to test out the Pro variant because of the chipset.. Let’s just hope that they’ll bring it to the country and not replace it with another SoC.
