ASUS has announced that the ROG Phone 9 series will officially launch on November 19, 2024. The latest entry in the ROG Phone lineup will feature Qualcomm’s new and renamed SoC, Snapdragon 8 Elite (the successor of 8 Gen 3), which integrates the second-generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU (originally found in the company’s X Elite and X Plus chips) along with the upgraded Adreno GPU.
ROG Phone 9 Announced
While this is technically a teaser, the company has in fact taken the wraps off of its new gaming smartphone’s looks, which follows a similar ethos as the ROG Phone 8 series – both featuring understated gamer-centric designs that contrasted the looks of models in all previous iterations. In fact, you’d be hard-pressed to spot the difference of the camera bump compared to its predecessor.
The ROG Phone 9 series will be unveiled during the Snapdragon Summit 2024, where attendees will have an opportunity to experience its gaming features through live demonstrations and hands-on sessions with pre-release engineering models, ASUS said in its press release. In any case, further details on the ROG Phone 9 series should be available as the official release date approaches, which will be at 7pm, November 19 Malaysian Time.
