Samsung today announced two entry-level smartphones: the Galaxy A17 and Galaxy A07. The Galaxy A17 in particular will feature two versions – 5G and LTE – of which the former will join the Galaxy A07 for September 5 launch date, whereas the Galaxy A17 LTE will launch later this month, on 26 September 2025.
Galaxy A17 & Galaxy A07

The Galaxy A17 5G is equipped with a 6.7-inch 90Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED display protected , along with a triple camera system featuring a 50MP OIS wide camera, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP sensor. Powering the smartphone is the Exynos 1330 chipset, with options including 4GB and 8GB RAM paired with 128GB or 256GB of storage.
As for the Galaxy A07, it uses a traditional LCD panel of the same size at HD+ resolution, while the camera is a 50MP+2MP setup; it also uses the 4G-only MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, with 6GB and 8GB RAM options. No spec has been announced specifically for the Galaxy A17 LTE, though we imagine it’ll likely share the same chipset as the A07’s Helio G99, if the previous generation is any indication.
Other than those aforementioned, both models mostly share the same specs. These include the same 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, microSD expansion support, IP54 ingress protection, and Android 15 operating system with six generations of Android OS upgrades plus six years of security updates.

The Galaxy A17 5G will be available in Black, Gray, and Blue, while the Galaxy A07 will launch in Light Violet, Green, and Black. Both will be available starting this Friday, although Samsung has only announced the pricing for the Galaxy A17 5G at this time, with the 8GB+128GB costing RM899 and 8GB+256GB costing RM999 before launch rebates.
Pokdepinion: A 4GB option for Galaxy A17 seems like an odd choice.
