Samsung Galaxy Note Series May Have One Final Launch in 2021
Previously, we reported about the Samsung Galaxy Note series being discontinued. The Korean giant is making the S Pen usable on the upcoming Galaxy S21 series and some foldable phones like the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Now, it appears that the Galaxy Note series may have one final launch before it’s finally laid to rest in 2021.
Samsung Galaxy Note Series May Have One Final Launch in 2021
As opposed to outright killing off the Samsung Galaxy Note series, it appears that the Korean giant is opting to wind it down first instead. According to ETnews, Samsung has placed orders for the digitizer needed for S Pen support, which is expected for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. This seems too early for a new entry in the Samsung Galaxy Note series or even for the Z Fold 3.
While this serve as the major piece of information pointing at the end of the Samsung Galaxy Note series, the same source indicates that there will still be a new model coming for the series. The only difference this time around is that there will only be one model as opposed to two like we’ve seen with the Galaxy Note20.
This would allow Samsung more time to prepare its spiritual successor, the Galaxy Z Fold. After all, they still need to figure out how to make a stylus usable on the more fragile, flexible screen for their foldable smartphone. Moreover, they need to figure out how to make it more appealing to people from a price perspective as well, as foldable smartphones are now priced way higher than any flagship smartphone you see today.
If true, this would most likely be the last entry in the beloved smartphone series. The Korean giant is then expected to put more focus on foldables afterwards, with 2021 being the beginning of a larger focus being placed on it.
Pokdepinion: If there truly is going to be one last launch for the series, then I’m sure they’re gonna be putting their all into it. Can’t wait to see the device.
