Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 are shaping up to be significant upgrades over their predecessors. While the official launch is expected this summer, a new leak has surfaced, giving us a closer look at what to expect from these next-gen foldables.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7: Bigger Vapor Chambers, Better Cooling

Both the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 will reportedly feature larger vapor chambers, improving heat dissipation for better sustained performance. This could be a welcome improvement, especially for power users who push their devices with gaming and multitasking.

Additionally, both devices will get a more refined and durable hinge, improving fold reliability and overall longevity.

Reduced Crease

One of the biggest pain points of foldable phones has always been the display crease, but Samsung is addressing this in the Galaxy Z Fold7. While the crease won’t disappear entirely, leaks suggest that it will be noticeably smaller, making the screen experience smoother and more immersive.

Software & Display Enhancements

📱 One UI 7.1 Out of the Box

  • Both devices will run One UI 7.1, but it’s unclear if it will be Android 15 or Android 16. With Android 16 expected earlier than usual this year, it could be Samsung’s first foldables to launch with it.

🔆 Galaxy Z Flip7: 2,600-Nit Display Brightness

  • The Z Flip7 will reportedly maintain the same 2,600-nit peak brightness as its predecessor, ensuring excellent visibility even in bright outdoor settings.

🔊 Upgraded Speakers for Galaxy Z Fold7

  • Samsung is also upgrading the Galaxy Z Fold7’s speakers for an improved audio experience, though it’s unclear if the Z Flip7 will receive the same enhancement.

Pricing & Chipsets

💰 Same Price as Last Year

  • According to leaks, the Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 will retain the same pricing as their predecessors, making them more appealing despite the hardware upgrades.

⚙️ New Chipsets Under the Hood

  • The Z Flip7 is expected to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 SoC.
  • The Z Fold7, on the other hand, is set to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite globally, delivering flagship-level performance.

Samsung is expected to unveil both foldables this summer, though an exact launch date remains unknown. With these improvements and no price increase, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 could be among the most compelling foldable smartphones yet.

Pokdepinion: I really hope the design would see a major change because it definitely needs one. If they maintained the same look, I don’t foresee it doing well against its competitors this year.
