vivo Malaysia has announced that the upcoming vivo V80 Lite has set a Guinness World Records title for the “Longest Electronic Product Testing Livestream,” with a verified record of 32 hours and 37 minutes; the record was achieved by the vivo V80 Lite 5G Team (China) and verified in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on 11 August 2026, with the livestream also doubling as an extended real-world test of the smartphone’s battery endurance.
vivo V80 Lite Is Officially A Record Holder
As announced in its teaser, the vivo V80 Lite is equipped with a 10,000mAh BlueVolt Battery, which vivo says is the largest and strongest battery used in its smartphone to date. It’s intended audience is obvious – those who wants a smartphone that easily lasts through a day no need to look any further.
On top of endurance, vivo claims the V80 Lite is built to withstand Malaysia’s hot climate, with a demonstration on-site that showcases its stable power output at temperatures of up to 45°C, and such resilience against hot weather means there’s less likelihood of excessive battery drain. While Malaysian weather isn’t considered unhospitable levels of hot, it’s an assurance that the smartphone should handle even the worst of climates just fine.
To mark the device’s upcoming launch, vivo Malaysia will host a Glass Box Showcase at Lot 10, Bukit Bintang, alongside a dedicated LED display, highlighting the phone’s battery capacity. The showcase will be open to the public from 29 August to 3 September 2026, with the official Malaysia launch of the vivo V80 Lite 5G taking place on the final day.
