Xiaomi Could Be Unveiling Their First Foldable Phone Very Soon
It seems that Xiaomi might be lifting the lid off of their first foldable phone soon judging by their recent Facebook post. The post is pretty vague and doesn’t really reveal all that much apart from a waterfall and the caption “Innovation has no limits”. Of course Xiaomi’s Facebook post could mean something else entirely but the way that waterfall is designed could strongly point to the way a foldable screen phone (to me at least).
There have also been reports of the alleged design and of specs Xiaomi’s foldable phone will be sporting. It is said that the phone will tout an inner main screen foldable and a smaller outer screen similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold series. The report also claims the prototype for the device has a refresh rate of 90Hz, however, it should be able to reach a refresh rate of 120Hz. The foldable device is also said to utilise Samsung’s latest UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) flexible glass technology.
Other alleged specs include a 108MP camera as well as the foldable phone running on MIUI 12 based on Android 11.
Pokdepinion: Very curious to see if Xiaomi will finally reveal their foldable phone today. They’ve teased us long enough.
