HTC A101 Tablet

HTC A101 is a New Entry-Level Tablet Coming Your Way

Not long after the announcement of their brand new HTC Desire 22 Pro smartphone, the HTC A101 is an upcoming entry-level Android tablet from the company. It uses a 10.1-inch 2.5D Full HD+ (1920 x 1200) display with relatively thick bezels and comes with stereo speakers, USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It’s powered by the 12nm Unisoc Tiger T618 chip and comes with a healthy 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. If that isn’t enough, you can expand the storage, up to 256GB, via its microSD slot. Apart from that, it has dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G LTE support, 7,000mAh battery, up to 10W charging, and comes with Android 11 right out of the box.

The tablet does have a dual-camera setup consisting of a 16MP wide angle camera and a 2MP ultra-wide angle camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera. There are no fingerprint readers here so for easy access, the only biometric verification you have is through its AI Face-Unlock feature.

At the moment, the HTC A101 tablet is expected to launch in South Africa, but no word yet on a launch in other countries at the moment. It will be available in Grey and Silver colour options, but no price has been mentioned yet. We will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: It really does feel like the company is trying to mount a comeback of sorts, but starting it safe first with more affordable products. Hopefully, we’ll get to see more things from them down the road.
