HUAWEI Malaysia recently hosted a launch event for its new devices coming to Malaysia, including the new HUAWEI MatePad 12 X and the HUAWEI Watch D2. Both devices are now available to pre-order until 29 November 2024, each with respective free gifts upon securing the order.
HUAWEI MatePad 12 X & HUAWEI Watch D2 Pricing
The HUAWEI MatePad 12 X will retail for RM2,999 – for that, you’ll be getting a 12-inch 2.8K (2800×1840) PaperMatte display with 144Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits of peak brightness. As announced beforehand, the internals will be powered by Kirin T90A SoC, along with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage, all running HarmonyOS 4.2 on top. Aside from that, the tablet’s battery is rated for 10,100mAh, and you get 66W fast charging to get these big cells topped up quickly. All told, the tablet weighs just 555 grams, minus the accessories.
Speaking of accessories, upon purchase you’ll be eligible for a set of free gifts that includes a HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard, HUAWEI M-Pencil, HUAWEI FreeBuds 5, along with a Bluetooth mouse, a backpack, and one year’s worth of screen protection. Only a single configuration is available, available in White and Greenery colors.
Moving on, the HUAWEI Watch D2 is one of the latest model to feature the company’s new TruSense system, which is claimed to provide more accuracy over previous sensor technologies. The D series in particular is capable of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) by inflating the wrist strap, which is used to detect blood pressure throughout the day. The watch has a more Apple Watch-y looks now, which houses a 1.82-inch AMOLED display capable of 1,500 nits at its brightest; battery life is claimed to last six days, but enabling ABPM will limit it to just one day of usage.
The price for one HUAWEI Watch D2 will be RM1,999, which also gets you a set of freebies that include HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 2, HUAWEI Scale 3, HUAWEI Watch D2’s strap, along with 1+1 year warranty and 2 years 2 times accidental damage protection. Both models launched will be available to purchase from Huawei online store, Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, and various authorized retailers.
Pokdepinion: Not a bad price for the tablet given its near PC-level feature set.
