HUAWEI Malaysia has announced that its latest flagship tablet, the 2022 12.6-inch MatePad Pro, is available in the country starting today onwards. The tablet sports a 12.6-inch OLED display with a 90% screen-to-body ratio, 2560 x 1600 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1.07 billion colors, 600 nits peak brightness, and multi-touch support. It also has 4 microphones and 8 HUAWEI Sound-powered speakers surrounding the device.

The new MatePad Pro 12.6 features a refreshed design, with the main noticeable change being the camera bump on the back of the tablet. Instead of a circular island like on the previous model, the MatePad Pro 12.6 has a vertical rectangular camera bump. It is still rather light at just 609g.

The HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.6 is powered by a Kirin 9000E chipset, which includes a Mali-G78 MP22 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage. It also has a healthy 10,050 mAh battery that supports fast wired and wireless charging at 40W and 27W respectively, along with 10W reverse wireless charging.

The HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.6 will be retailing for RM4,299 and will be available for purchase on their official website as well as their official online stores on Shopee and Lazada. Every purchase will also come with the 2nd Gen HUAWEI M-Pen, HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard, and HUAWEI Mobile Services rewards for free. It will be available only in colour option; Golden Black.

Pokdepinion: This tablet actually looks very promising. In all honesty, I’m about pretty sure if I get one, I’ll just end up playing games on it most of the time.
