Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ Unboxing and First Impressions
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ Unboxing
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ comes in a box that follows the usual design of the FE branding, clad in white. It’s minimalist and it’s rather thin. The latter part will likely tell you about the things that is included in the box. Speaking of which, here’s what we found inside:
Inside the box, you can find the following items:
- USB-C to USB-C cable
- SIM ejector tool
- S Pen
- The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ itself
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ First Impressions
Given that this is a Fan Edition series product, it’s natural to think that there are a lot of cut corners in order to keep costs low. What we can say for sure is that the build quality is still pretty solid as it has a glass front, aluminum back, and aluminum frame. The back itself may seem emptier compared to its standard variants but the S Pen can be held here magnetically exactly where you think it belongs; right beside the camera.
Moving to the front, you get a sizable 12.4-inch IPS LCD display with 90Hz adaptive refresh rate. Bezels are certainly on the thicker side and you don’t get the usual Dynamic AMOLED 2X display treatment here, but that’s pretty understandable as that panel can be very costly. With that being said however, don’t feel like you’re losing out on too much as as it comes with reduced blue light emissions, colors are still quite vibrant and it’s adequately bright. In fact, it uses Vision Booster, an intelligent outdoor algorithm which will adapts the brightness to your surrounding light to improve visibility.
Unlike the original three variants, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ is powered by the Exynos 1380 SoC, putting it in the upper-midrange performance compared to the flagship-level Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that powered the original Tab S9 series. Again, it’s another necessary step to keep costs low but at the same time, it’s still a pretty solid performer. Do stay tuned to the review to see the full extent of its capabilities.
