Samsung and the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna have announced a partnership bringing 43 selected masterpieces from the museum’s collection to Samsung Art Store. The works are now accessible in 4K resolution exclusively on compatible Samsung TVs.
Samsung Art Store Adds Kunsthistorisches Museum’s Collection
The Samsung Art Store collection includes several paintings by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, including “The Tower of Babel”, along with Johannes Vermeer’s “The Art of Painting”, Gustav Klimt’s “Nuda Veritas”, views of Venice and Vienna by Canaletto and Bellotto, Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s “Summer”, and works by Rubens, Velázquez, Caravaggio, Titian, Rembrandt and Raphael.
Samsumg says the high-resolution digital rendering is intended to let viewers examine details not easily visible in person, such as the architectural elements in Bruegel’s “The Tower of Babel” and Vermeer’s use of light and precision in “The Art of Painting”.
The addition of the Kunsthistorisches Museum extends Samsung’s existing collaborations with institutions including the Louvre in Paris, the Prado Museum in Madrid and the MUNCH Museum in Oslo. Samsung Art Store offers thousands of artworks – via a subscription – displayed in native resolution with color calibration, allowing users to browse by style, period or mood.
These are the Samsung TV models that support Samsung Art Store functionality: 2026 models include R95H, S99H, QN80H, QN70H, M80H, The Frame, and The Frame Pro; 2025 models include Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, The Frame, The Frame Pro, Q8F, and Q7F.
