Philips Announces New Philips 8200 Series Of 4K UHD LED Android TVs

Phillips has just revealed that their new Philips 8200 series of 4K UHD LED Android TVs is now available for Malaysia. The new Philips 8200 series will come in a few different size variants which include a 50-inch model, a 55-inch model as well as the flagship 70-inch PUT8215 model.

The Philips 8200 series come equipped with the P5 Perfect Picture Engine that gets the most out of the stunning 4K LED screen. This engine is capable of bringing more vivid colours to your screen as well as keeping skin tones looking natural. The P5 Engine is also backed up by the fidelity of Dolby Vision, ensuring you’ll enjoy all the same contrast, brightness and colour that the director intended.

The new Philips TVs also feature twin 8W full-range speakers that provide 16 watts of output power, Dolby Atmos technology as well as optical digital audio out for external speakers. Seeing that the Philips 8200 series are Android TVs, they will feature content from both Google Play Store and Philips App Gallery which includes Amazon, YouTube, Netflix, or anything else of your choosing. The TVs also support Google Assistant which can be used to control not just the TV but any Google Assistant-compatible smart home devices.

The Philips 8200 series of 4K UHD LED Android TVs will be available at all authorised Philips TV distributors. The retail prices for the TVs are as follows:

  • 50-inch PUT8215 retail price RM2,799
  • 55-inch PUT8215 retail price RM3,199
  • 70-inch PUT8215 retail price RM6,499

Pokdepinion: These new TVs are pretty affordable if I do say so myself. Been looking for a new TV myself and I might add the 50-inch version into my list of considerations.
