Bandai Is Releasing A Tamagotchi Smart Wearable
Tamagotchi was famous back in the 90s. If you weren’t around to experience it yourself, it’s basically a small device that offers you a digital pet, where you would need to feed and clean up like a real one. It seems that they will make a comeback with Bandai announcing that they’re releasing a Tamagotchi wearable as part of the toy’s 25th anniversary.

As you can see from the picture, it will be making its way into the market on the 23rd of November 2021. Despite that, it seems that it will be launching in Japan and there’s no news of it expanding to other markets.
The wearable comes in a watch form factor and it sports a touchscreen, step tracking, as well as a clock (duh).

When it comes to what you can do with it, you can feed, bathe, dress, and play mini games with your pet. Bandai has said that you will be able to interact with another person’s (who is nearby) pet, find other Tamagotchi creatures through the smartphone app, and call out your pet using your voice.
Aside from that, the company is planning on releasing add-on cards that offer more content or mini games, additional items, and watch designs to suit your style.

Pokdepinion: I would get one but I’m pretty sure that my pet would die rather soon… I’m curious as to will Bandai release it for other countries as well as their asking price for it.
