LGD Gaming MY Edges Out Team Secret 3-2
The game started off strong for Team Secret with a dominant 2-0 lead, but the momentum quickly shifted to LGD Gaming as the team puts pressure to regain the control of the best-of-five series. After nearly 3 hours of matches, LGD Gaming managed to clinch the final game to secure the win with a 3-2 scoreline, completing a reverse sweep.
The team will take home the largest share of the $300,000 USD prize pool and, along with 7 other teams in this tournament, secures a slot in the upcoming Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason tournament at the Esports World Cup (EWC) from August 1 to 4.

The EWC tournament will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where 12 teams – 8 from the Invitational S2 (AG Global, Impunity, Kagendra, Keyd Stars, LGD Gaming MY, LOOPS, Team Secret, Team Vitality) will be paired with the remaining 4 teams to fight for $3,000,000 USD prize pool.

Three of the four remaining teams has been confirmed so far, with Weibo Gaming MY qualified via EWC Last Chance Qualifier, Team Falcons coming up through EWC Saudi Qualifier, while China’s King’s Pro League gets a slot with its all-star lineup. The final slot will be given to the winners of the Honor of Kings Southeast Asia Showdown between BOOM Esports (Philippines) and Rex Regum Qeon (Indonesia).

Aside from that, Honor of Kings Open Series Split 2 is now open for non-professional players to have a shot against the world’s best HoK esports teams. Registration is now open until July 19, 2024, with regional finals set for September this year. Southeast Asian players will also have a chance to earn a piece of glory via the upcoming Honor of Kings Southeast Asia Championship, as part of the game’s “long-term commitment” to invest into the esports ecosystem.
