New VALORANT Champions Tour Game Changers Southeast Asia Announced
Riot Games Southeast Asia has announced the introduction of the VALORANT Champions Tour Game Changers Southeast Asia, a new series that will give women and other marginalised genders more opportunities and exposure inside the VALORANT Southeast Asia esports ecosystem. VALORANT Champions Tour Game Changers Southeast Asia will complement the current competitive season by creating a pro player circuit that reflects the region’s VALORANT community’s diversity and global nature, as well as the region’s player talent.
VALORANT Champions Tour Game Changers Southeast Asia explained
VALORANT Champions Tour Game Changers Southeast Asia, in cooperation with FSL, SEA’s leading women’s gaming circuit, will be a monthly series aiming at providing new possibilities and exposure for VALORANT’s marginalised genders to participate in the highest level of competitive play. The first event will take place online, with a monthly prize pool of USD5,000 (RM20,782.50). The series will feature 4 stages which include:
- FSL Open
A monthly open group stage tournament will be held, with eight teams advancing to the playoffs. Teams will participate in a best-of-three double-elimination format in the playoffs, with a best-of-five format in the finals. Teams will gain points and be placed on the FSL Open Leaderboard as a result of their efforts. The top three teams in each division will advance to FSL Elite.
- FSL Open Overtime (September 2-5)
Teams finishing 4th through 19th on the leaderboard will fight for three FSL Elite qualifying spots.
- FSL Wildcard (September 25 – October 3)
Teams that have not qualified for FSL Elite or are new to the circuit are welcome to compete. The top 2 teams will qualify for FSL Elite.
- FSL Elite (October 23, 24, 30, 31)
In October, eight of the region’s best teams will compete for a prize pool of USD25,000 (RM103912.50), with the victorious team being dubbed the first VALORANT Champions Tour Game Changers Southeast Asia Champion.

Pokdepinion: This is pretty good. I think it’s high time that the esports scene has a lot more female representation as well as other genders and this VALORANT Champions Tour Game Changers Southeast Asia is the perfect opportunity.
