iPhone 12 mini Has Reportedly Ceased Production
The iPhone 12 mini has not been selling as Apple would have expected compared to the rest of its lineup. Now it seems that the company has decided to stop the model’s production, at least according to reports.
iPhone 12 mini has stopped production
Trendforce has reported that the model is no longer in production which means that the iPhone 12 mini is at the end of its cycle. They’ve wrote “Apple is expected to focus on driving sales of the three non-mini models in the iPhone 12s series in view of the fact that the iPhone 12 mini (which reached End-of-Life ahead of time in 2021) suffered disappointing sales performances compared to other models in the iPhone 12 family”.
Doing a quick check at the local Apple website, the iPhone 12 mini is still available for sale. Listed from the price of RM3,399, the phone is the smallest, thinnest, and lightest 5G device in the market currently and also the most affordable in the iPhone 12 series.
Aside from that, it is reported that the phone only provided roughly 5% of all iPhone 12 sales, which is alarming. It is rumoured however that Apple will look to present a successor to the device this fall.

Pokdepinion: I really wonder if they’ll come up with a successor to the phone, seeing how it wasn’t successful in the first place. I wouldn’t mind getting a device the size of that, but at the same time, it seems like too much of a price tag for me.
